Los Angeles in the dark

Night shots have always been a favorite of mine and I figured why not take some memorable ones myself.

Blue

Empty streets

Disney Concert Hall

Overpasses

Los Angeles Freeways

Long exposure shots are great and definitely enjoyable to view. Try this without a tripod, I can’t even imagine.

Some may call this graffiti, but I consider this more along the lines of art. I guess my definition of graffiti would be something like a child writing in scribbles with no form and no function. These walls definitely had a type of story within them.

I have never done any type of panorama shots and I thought that since I was in the Banks private room overlooking the track this would be a great opportunity to start. Thanks to a friend I was invited to the Formula Drift event at Irwindale speedway for the preliminaries. There was alot of smoke and alot of great drifting. I didn’t get to take to many photos, but I did take an overlooking view of the track.

Another photo shoot with three very clean looking cars.

Mini Cooper

BMW 335

Lamborghini Gallardo

These shots were pretty much bare with no flashes, just high apertures and long exposures.

I do like cars, especially VIP types. Brian’s Lexus LS400 has to be one of the cleanest I’ve seen in quite some time.

Big thanks to Brian for meeting up with me and Sam for this very last minute shoot in LA.

This photo was taken at the Irvine National park for my brother and sister-in-law. They asked me to take their photos so they can print their own personalized Christmas cards. It’s a great idea and I got to use the Canon 85mm lens with one AB800 strobe for several shots. I hoped to be able to practice before the shoot to get acqainted with the equipment, but I wasn’t able too. I didn’t have much time for the shoot or even much time to practice, but I believe it turned out well.
